Cable, WI – October 19, 2024: Drummond High School in Drummond, Wisconsin is set to benefit from a generous donation of $30,000 from Norvado, a Cable-based company. This donation aims to bolster the school’s club programming, specifically benefiting the ice fishing, trap, and show choir teams. Notably, there are no restrictions on how these funds can be utilized by the individual club teams, including expenses related to travel, coaching, equipment, uniforms, or any other essential needs.
Chad Young, Chief Executive Officer of Norvado, expressed the company’s commitment to supporting the communities where they operate, emphasizing it as a core value. He stated, “We understand the value of a rural Wisconsin education and are acutely aware of the funding challenges faced by extracurricular school activities. Our employees are deeply rooted in the community, and we take pride in alleviating the financial burdens faced by school-based club teams.”
The $30,000 donation was disbursed in a short ceremony at Drummond High School on October 19, 2023. Norvado hopes this funding will provide more area students with opportunities to benefit from the rich experiences offered by club activities. Leo Carlson, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Norvado, stressed how these activities instill valuable qualities such as fair play, hard work, goal setting, resilience in success and failure, and teamwork – attributes that Norvado seeks in its employees. He added, “We are hopeful some of these students could fill future job opportunities at Norvado following their education journey.”
Melissa Altmann, District Administrator of the Drummond Area School District, expressed gratitude towards Norvado and the broader community for their support. She highlighted the significance of community support in enhancing students’ experiences and expressed excitement about the opportunities afforded by the donations.
Norvado’s commitment to the community is further exemplified by their annual contribution of approximately $100,000 to various community initiatives, including school support, events, chamber of commerce activities, and more. Chad Young remarked, “We hope that our community members see Norvado as a valued member of the area.”
