A sun outage is an interruption in satellite signals caused by interference of the sun moving through the satellite arc in use. Sun outages occur before the March equinox and after the September equinox for the Northern Hemisphere. The effects of a Sun outage range from partial degradation to the total destruction of the signal.
During the predicted windows listed below, Norvado TV customers will experience degraded and complete signal loss as the sun moves through our satellite reception arc. Each dish is affected differently throughout the day, so the times listed below are an approximation of when we will see reception issues. Additionally, the dates listed below are based on peak signal loss and there may be intermittent signal issues leading up to these dates and for several days after.
