What are the terms and conditions of the fall 2017 Internet offers?

If you accepted an Amazon Fire HD 8 Tablet or Nest Learning Thermostat from us for our Internet promotional offers during October of 2017, you have agreed to the following Terms and Conditions.

Terms & Conditions:

  • Offer valid from October 1st, 2017 through October 31st, 2017.
  • Limited time offer available to new, approved residential or business customers and existing residential or business customers.
  • Offers require a two-year (24-month) agreement on faster internet speed.
  • Offer subject to change without notice.
  • Requires enrollment in AutoPay for the duration of the two-year (24-month) agreement.
    • New customers required to provide valid credit card or bank account at time of sign-up.
    • Existing customers not currently on AutoPay are required to register for a SmartHub account and activate AutoPay with valid credit card or bank account prior to service installation or activation. AutoPay subscribers receive a $1.00 bill credit every month. Sign-up for paperless billing to receive an additional $1.00 credit each month.
  • Cannot be combined with other promotional offers.
  • Norvado reserves the right to modify channel lineups, packaging and/or regular pricing without notice.
  • Geographic and service restrictions apply. Call to see if you qualify.
  • Final eligibility for the services will be determined by a Norvado representative.
  • Early termination fees apply. (See Cancellation Fee below)
  • Downgrading after accepting a promotional offer will trigger the cancellation fees. (See Cancellation Fee below)
  • No seasonal downgrades allowed during duration of promotional term.(See Cancellation Fee below)
  • If customer declines to accept any of the promotional offers, they are not subject to 24-month agreement, nor will they receive a bill credit equal to the value of the promotional items.

Cancellation Fee:

Applies to early termination of the service agreement and/or AutoPay, and will be the value of the promotional gift received in return for your term commitment (24 months), multiplied by the number of months remaining in the term (with a partial month counting as a full month), divided by the total number of months in the term (24 months), plus applicable taxes.

New Customer Example: Bob and Mary Seasonal are a new customer and take Talk, Tune and Surf at the 100/10mb internet package. They will receive a Nest Thermostat ($249.99 value) for free. They keep their service for 12 months and then decide to cancel. They have 12 months remaining.

Their early termination fee would be calculated as follows:

$249.99 x 12 = $2,999.88 / 24 = $124.99

Existing Customer Example: Al and Peg Bundy are an existing customer and upgrade from 10/1mb to 30/3mb on the OMSUPER package. They will receive a free Fire HD 8 tablet ($89.99 value). They keep their service for 3 months and then want to downgrade to 10/1mb. They have 21 months remaining on their 24-month agreement. They are subject to the same early termination fee regardless of the package they downgrade to, this includes seasonal downgrades.

Their early termination fee would be calculated as follows:

$89.99 x 21 = $1,889.79 / 24 = $78.74

  • Manufacturer’s suggested retail price of Nest Learning Thermostat is $249.99. All rights reserved.

Exclusions:

Price does not include taxes, applicable use tax expense surcharge on retail value of installation, equipment upgrades/add-ons, and certain other additional fees & charges. Some offers may not be available through all channels and in select areas. One free promotional offer per household with qualifying Internet service for new and existing Norvado residential and business customers. Not valid with other offers. Norvado is not responsible for promotional item after customer accepts possession. Deposit or pre-payment may be required.
